Tisha Green Bio

Tisha is a lifelong horseman. As a child, her mother bought her an off-the-track thoroughbred to learn to jump. She showed Open Jumpers as a youth and trail rode her horse on the trails in the San Bernadino Mountains. She discovered Dressage watching Reiner Klimke win the Gold Medal in 1984. Tisha is well read and continues to stay open to learning from the masters of the discipline. She has trained numerous winter seasons at Arroyo Del Mar, and with other noteworthy Trainers with their origins at Arroyo Del Mar. Tisha was instrumental in organizing and assisting the USDF Instructors Training Program to Utah. She completed the USDF Instructor/Trainer Program, and she also completed the USDF “L” Program, the educational program for judging. Tisha has experience in organizing numerous clinics in Park City, Utah offering expert instruction by recognized trainers, competitors and a former Director of the Spanish Riding School in Vienna. Her horsemanship has a wide scope.

Tisha has trained her own horses, with her dressage mentors, bringing them through the levels of USDF. In 2006, she was awarded the national USDF bronze medal. In 2011, Tisha was awarded the national USDF silver medal. In 2021, Tisha she was the recipient of the USDF Master’s Award in the FEI Open Division. Her curriculum vitae includes numerous other awards in dressage. She is an FEI rider, stallion owner, trainer, and breeder and an instructor. Currently, Tisha is training her younger Westfalen stallion through the levels of USDF dressage, and she is competing on her Royal Dutch Warmblood mare. Learning and riding daily is essential.

She has the knowledge and a discerning eye and feel for finding the best horse for her riders. She has experience travelling to Europe to find her personal horses and a specific understanding of the process which you can trust. Tisha offers a kind, thoughtful, respectful approach in her training. Her education, care and love for the horse and understanding of the horse’s cognitive ability defines her everyday approach to training.

Tisha is instrumental in the design and creation of the SkyRidge Equestrian in Park City, Utah. Her vision for the facility involves teaching a hands-on approach to horsemanship, a calendar of educational events, Dressage shows, and working equitation.
